A whole-system visit is booked when the symptom has not identified which half of the equipment is responsible for it. The visit is structured to answer that question first. Then the Half That the Evidence Names

If the air side is healthy, the visit narrows into cooling or heating. On the cooling side that means refrigerant pressures, superheat and subcool, and current draws at the condenser. On the heating side it means ignition sequence, flame sensing, gas pressure, temperature rise and combustion analysis. Both paths end the same way: a named fault, a correction, and a second set of readings taken under the same conditions to confirm it.

Handing the Repair to Its Owner

Once the failing subsystem is identified, the repair itself belongs to whichever owner covers it. Cooling faults continue through central AC repair and maintenance, heating faults through furnace repair or heating repair and maintenance. Distribution faults become duct work, and where the ducts are sound but the house is unevenly conditioned the outcome is a zoning assessment.
